One Week. One Cause. They partner and build 52 Charity T-Shirt Campaigns per year (1 per week). For every Tee purchased they give $7 to that weeks charity (and the Tees AREN’T pricey). At the end of the 7-Day Campaign they send the charity a check. This truly is an organic funding movement to raise capital and awareness for the world’s greatest causes. And to keep you stylish while doing it.

CASA of Travis County believes every child who has been abused or neglected deserves to have a dedicated advocate speaking up for their best interest in court, at school and in our community. To accomplish this, CASA educates and empowers diverse community volunteers who ensure each child’s needs remain a priority in an over-burdened child welfare system. When the state steps in to protect a child’s safety because the people responsible for protecting them have not, a judge appoints a trained CASA volunteer to make independent and informed recommendations and help the judge decide what’s best for the child.

CASA volunteers come from every walk of life and share a commitment to improving children’s lives, a willingness to learn, and an open mind towards life experiences different from their own. Volunteers complete an interview, background checks and 33 hours of intensive training. After being sworn-in by a judge, volunteers are appointed to a child or family of children and spend an average of 20 hours a month advocating for these children for at least a year.

For children who have been abused or neglected, CASA means having a home instead of feeling lost, and being a priority instead of feeling invisible. For volunteers, CASA is a life-changing experience that makes our community a better place.

Tito’s Handmade Vodka and The Driskill hotel have partnered to present Live @ The Driskill – An early evening experience featuring the Hill Country’s most celebrated musicians, mixology concoctions using Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Executive Chef Gelman’s Small Bite creations and live social media feeds.
Launching in 2012, The Driskill and Health Alliance for Austin Musicians, HAAM, are taking Live @ The Driskill to the next level supporting live music and healthcare for local musicians, Live @ the Driskill – The HAAM Sessions.

In addition to over four hours of live music, on the second Thursday of each month, you’ll savor a customized tavern and mixology menu featuring a unique perspective on HAAM-burgers, HAAM & Cheese, HAAM-strings and of course, The Cure. 35% of proceeds from this menu will be donated to HAAM. There will also be opportunities to donate directly to HAAM, live social media feeds and, of course, a legendary atmosphere. There are no admittance fees.
